What do you think?

What makes writing a mystery story different from other genres?

I think that the thing that makes writing stories different from other things is the fact that even though you may have to write within certain categories(Suspense, action, etc.) and with limits you are still, in most occasions, free to write what you want and make the story go as you want it to do so.

I think writing mystery stories are in a way more difficult. Every story needs lots of planning but a mystery story needs a good mystery to make the reader want to read more. Also when there is a detective that has to solve it or if it is some other ordinary person, you have to describe him/her in a way so that the reader understands that this character has the potential to find the hidden clues and solve the mistery/assasination/robbery etc. The writer also needs to plan where the hidden clues are and try to make the reader understand them but at the same time make them think a lot.

I think that is a good way to start with, because you hace some mistery, and like hugo said you dont have a limit you dont have an end evry end is...

I think that the differece is that in a story you have the opportunity to write and leave all the work to your imagination which is working to make the story interesting and atravtive for all the readers.

Hi Miss Ale
As Vicky said I think this question is a good point to start with! I love this posts because they all,(as I already said), make you think and reflection...
I think that sometimes in writing a mystery story you always have to give suspence so the reader stays without knowing what will happen and continues reading the book, sometimes, even at the end of the book the author gives an open ending and by your own you can imagine your own ending.

Hope we have a great year!
See you tommorrow

Hi Miss Ale!
I think that writting a mystery storie is different from the other genres because when you finish a mystery book is that you want to read the next book because most of the mystery books have an open final and the books with other genres finish with a conclution.

I think that a mistery is more difficult than a normal story because you need to plan as justo said, you need to have good mistery to catch people to read the book and the detective for me need to have a problem that that's the thing that for me isbthe most important part of the story and then the ending which need to close the book.

I think that is more intresting read mistory books cause it catch more your attention. But what justo said is true writing mystery stories in a way is more difficult and sometimes longer than other ones, and you have to explain in a way who ever reader is reading it haves to understand what he ment to put.

Hi Miss Ale
I think that is different because I like the open endings and I never know what is going to happen. The Mystery stories need a very good mystery. I really enjoy the mystery stories. All the stories have a message or conclution but this stories no!
See you next week

and in the mistery books you can make it as long as you can example: con you can resolve a problem but in that problem there is another one.

Hi Ale,
I think it's diffrent because a mystery storie has much more action and like Puli and many children said It dosn't have a conclution like many other books. And I prefere to read these type of books.

What it makes it different is that while you are writing a mystery story you may feel the mystery., but (for example) when you write a fantasy story you feel and imagine the fantasy.

Hi Miss Ale i think that mistery stories are very good because you don´t understand very much why is happening something till you get to the end. I also like very much open endings cause every one can express them selves by what they thing it was going to happen.
See you later

I like mystery stories because some leave you with intrigue so yo think what could happen and other people think different so you can argue and think only one idea.
It is fun!!!!

hello miss ale
I think that mystery storys need to have an event or act of something or somebody that makes detectives and/or policemen to investigate to finally find the commiteer of the crime

see you later miss ale
