Hi,
A favorite quotation of mine~being a former teacher myself. Obviously, in order to have learning take place you need a teacher(at times) and a student(learner). Teachers open the door~explain, describe, model, and show you how to get the answers. Students must walk through the door by themselves~by focusing, listening, understanding and trying what they have been shown. Teachers teach you how to teach yourself. My goal was to make my students "self-taught" lifetime learners.

"I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances." By Martha Washington
What is this quotation referring to?
What does it mean?
