Exams and the importance of sleeping well.

Sleep must be important because we spend 1/3 of our lives doing it! Loss of sleep hurts attention, working memory, mood, quantitative skills, logical reasoning, and even motor dexterity.
But is sleep really doing nothing? It looks like it...our eyes are closed, our muscles are relaxed, our breathing is regular, and we do not respond to sound or light. If you take a look at what is happening inside of your brain, however, you will find quite a different situation - the brain is very active. You are doing something!
It’s possible that the reason we need to sleep is so that we can learn better. Everything we have learnt is cemented while sleeping.
Therefore, now that your are having your final exams, it is very important for you to SLEEP WELL!

Miss Ale, I'm the first!
I agree wuth you because sometimes that I didn't slep that much, in school I was VERY tired, and when I arruved home I slep and I coulden't make any homework. When I woke up I said :" OMG, I have to do the homework, to studdy and to have a bath, and I lost Teen Angles". So in that moment I did't wanted to do anything but I had to do them, and that's what I think most of the people do!

Hello MIss Ale, thank you for posting this post because is a very good advise forthe final exams, so the night before an exam i will sleep well so i can be consentrate and not sleep on my exam insted of doing it.

Hello Miss Ale,
I think too that we have to sleep well and rest because we have to wake up very early in the mornig.
I wake up 6:45 but some children who live far away in Nordelta, have to wake up at 6:00! The worst day for me to sleep well is on Sundays because I go to my grandfathers house (that is FAR)and we get home at 10:00 and we have to take a bath and eat and all that, so on mondays, sometimes I am very tired
Now we have to sleep very well because we have all the final exams and we need to study and do some homework so we have to get a good sleep.

I tink that now we have to sleep more.
I remember that one day I was with my friends and we fall asleep 5 in the morning because we were playing a wii game. then at the morning I woke up at 9 and at midday I was exauosted!!!

Hello Miss Ale,
I really agree with you becuase if we dont sleep at noght we are going to sleep all day long! And we cant becuase we have to do tests, learn adn have fun! WE NEED ENERGY TO HAHVE HUN OR LEARN OR DO WELL IN THE FINAL EXAMS! I really liked hte post I think that all we need to do for the final tests is SLEEP AND STUDY HARD! Well, talking about hte fianl exams, oon Tuesday we are havn gthe one of Reading Comprehension, I studied very hard! KissES Belu D

Hello miss ale,
I agree that if we don't sleep well we wake up in a bad mood. To me it happens regulary. Yesterday I woke up and felt it was friday and I was in a very bad mood but then I realzied it was sunday, and I felt much happier.

I think that we have to sleep and drink wwater (as miss FLorence said today) because we need it because is the FOOD to star the day.

Hello miss ale, I think that what you said in the post is right because when we don't sleep well we don't do as much as we usually do when we do sleep well, so I think that as you said we should go and sleep very early so that in the following day we are awake and we can do lots of work at school and we can learn as much as you teachers plan us to do!

Tomorrow we have the exam of reading comprehension so I am going to sleep at 9:15
I always sleep 9 30 but when I have exams i am conforatable with the 9 15
so I can concentrated more tomorrow in the exam

I sleep VERY well nearly every day! I go to bed at 8 and wake up at 7 more or less... I think it is easier to have fun during the day and if i don't sleep well i can't pay attention at school.

Miss Ale,
I think, with what I read sleeping is very important.
I go to bed at 21:00 and I get up at 7:00 every day of the week. I think not only sleeping is important, other things are important too for example breakfast, breakfast is very important because if you have breakfast you have energy to develop in phyisical or mental activities in class. I have breakfast every morning, I have cereals with orange juce. To conclude, I say that having breakfast and sleeping very well makes you better!!! And it is very important.

HellO Miss Ale,
I didnt knew that. My mother say me that but I didnt knew why she say it. One day my sister had a great test at secundary and she was very nervous because she thought she didnt kenw nothing. So she went to sleep at 10, she wake at at 2 then she went to sleep again and then she weake up again at 5 until 7. When I heard that I said she must take ten, but with this information you have tell us I think that was a very good idea.

I totally agree with you, you are absoloutly right! Today we have commented on class why it was so important to sleep well, and more now that we are having lots of tests! One day it passed me, I was so anxious to chat with my friends that I forgot to do my homework, so I have to do it very quick and very late! But therefore, I learnt that the most important things were the school things and then, if I could I could chat with my friends. As today we commented, somebody said that if you slept at eleven you slept eight hours, but what I think is that adults sleep eight hours, we, kids have to sleep at least nine, that is maximum 10 o'clock. If we always be conscious and convince ourselves of doing this as a daily routine we can really get it. So, every single morning we can be awake and not sleepy, and also we can remember about what we studied or whatever we did.

I am very concentrated on this tests so I'll sleep carefully at 9:00 pm and wake up at 7:00 am this are 12-9=3 and 3+7=10 yes I'll sleep more or less 10 hs.

I agree my mother always tells me that I have to sleep well when we have exams because the next day we will be rest so we can pay atention on the things we do and not be always sleepy jaja.

Hello Miss Ale!!
Every day we wake up very early and star working so if don't go to sleep early during school or whatever other thing we have we are very tired to work. We are also very tired because with all the extresses of the exams we find it very difficult to sleep but amazingly in school we want to sleep!!hahaha.
I have to start studyng fot my others exams,OMG tomorrow we have our first final exam!!!Well i hope i do well in the exam.

I think this post is great to learn something knew. I never thought that when you slept your ideas worked together and helped you understand better. I always thought that sleeping was only to rest because of all the day of being awake, but it wasnt! It was much more important than that it is that + more things. I think that in this weeks I have to rest a lot because the final tests are coming soon... aaaooo(yawn) I have to go to sleep jajajj. See you tomorow. Bye. Sofi 6c

You are absolutely right about this because I can admit that when Ican't sleep or I had a meeting at night I'm absolutely tired. Also I agree that when you sleep the things get cemented because once I remembered I was tired and I didn't knew much, the day after I remembered quite enough.

Hello Miss Ale,
I think sleeping is very important because if you sleep you are concentrated and aren't sleepy all the time. Also when you don't sleep good when you arrive at home you want to go to sleep directly and not to do homework or anything.GOOD BYE

I think you are right because sometimes when I study I think I dont remember anything so I go on studying until very late and the next day when it is time for the exam I am so tired that I mix all the thingand I get tit wrong

hello miss ale I agree with you because if you sleep well you feel well. When I sleep bad my head starts to hurt a lot and another thing that when you study for a test you are nervous and it takes longer for you to fall asleep

Hello Miss Ale,
I think you are right in this because if you dont sleep wel l then you are so tired you cant think enough. When you dont sleep you dont have the enough energy you need.

I am studying very much for the different exams like maths, matemática, writing process etc.
I hope I could get good marks to go to mascardi with all my friends. Now my mother is sending me to sleep very early so that my brain is awake and ready to work.
