Active Reading Strategies

As I told you at the beginning of the year, reading improves your writing, your thinking, your understanding and your reading skills. Click on the following link to practise some reading strategies whenever you are reading, no matter what, no matter the language nor the subject you are reading for. Perhaps it is just for pleasure! Hope you find them useful!

Hi Miss Ale,
As Joseph Addison says,:
Reading to the mind is the same as physical exercise to the body.
What I read about it is true, connecting yourlife with the book will make you think and like the book. I'll use these atributes for reading and writing better.
See you,

Axel G

Hello Miss Ale
I think that will help us understand more the stories, biographies, texts etc., because those skills written in the link will help us concentrate (focus) in our writing or reading and will make us better readers. We will talk easier about the theme of the book, we will talk fluently another language, of course if the bok id¿s not in your native language, and will help you have a facility while writing and more. I think this blog is great we are learning so fast!

Hi Miss Ale!
It is a great idea for a post. I will try to remember to enter to the blog when I have doubts of a text that I am reading. I love that mini verse that says like this:
When you write you improve your reading.
When you read you improve your writing.
I believe in that verse because it is all communicated with language and letter and world, and sentences and I could keep on.
I want to finish the clean copy of the mystery and detective story. I love writing. I helps you in a lot of things in reading, in talking and your creativity grows a lot depending on the person. In some way every thing is connected. In Social Studies you write and read exercise. In we connect a lot because it is where you read the most. In Maths you write and read in exercises and we write numbers and read numbers. In art we draw and to write stories you have to imagine what you write. In IT we learn how to use touch typing.Jajaja.
Bye
See you tomorrow!

Hi Miss Ale!

Well, you know I'm a bit of a book-worm, but I have great trouble getting through some books! Like the Hobbit, I started reading that and never finished... Maybe I should try out these trick on it, but I doubt that I'll be able to relate much!

Right now I'm finishing a book called The Running Man by a man called Michael Gerald Bauer, who came to my school in Indoneasia and read one of my stories! He signed it, and both the books we own by him have his signature and a message too!

I also have a terrible tendancy to read two books at a time, so I'm also re-reading 'The Drae Game' by Jaqeline Wilson, simply because I couldn't find 'The STory Of Tracy Beaker.'
